Just because as a teenager you want to eat there, you are asked when you enter the inn whether you have money with you This not only happened once but more often

On request we were told that the double room costs 92.00 euros per night including breakfast. Therefor the room wasn't really clean, totally saggy mattresses, a pillow was missing. Unfortunately, we tried in vain several times to reach someone there to get a pillow. The breakfast was sufficient, but nothing more. While waiting to pay the bill, the landlady was on the phone. Apparently a new request just came in. Your info: "A double room costs 86.00 euros per night." (Why had she let us the room at a higher price - on a Wednesday?) Then she came to us. She had noticed that we had heard this lower price and said: "Oh, you were missing the pillow, I'll meet you and you only have to pay 82.00 euros." Yes, of course, 4 euros less than the others for an uncomfortable night. Apart from this incident, it should be noted that the value for money Ratio is completely excessive. We cannot recommend these rooms.

Ripped off. We asked about a double room by phone. A double room (for 92, - €) was no longer available, so we were offered to sleep in an apartment. The apartment had not been used for a long time (calendar in the apartment set to 30.06.). Cobwebs in many corners. At breakfast (there were two of us) there was an odd number of rolls. A small pot of coffee. In it the amount of 3 cups of coffee (cups and not pots). When we asked whether we could have another pot of coffee, the counter-question came: with the same amount as before? Yes ! And so there was another pot of coffee = 2 cups of coffee. In an accommodation directory we saw that a double room should cost € 43. When checking out I therefore criticized the price of 92, - €. The answer: But you were in the apartment! The price of € 92 had been explained to me in the small print in between. But does he justify an apartment that is in the same catalog with 44, - € / day? Even with a surcharge for only 1 night you don't get 92, - €. I was just ripped off. Price-performance ratio does not fit. Conclusion: not to be recommended.

I was there for the first time today with 5 people, everyone got a good meal. Our condition was very kind. When I get around I will eat there again. Excellent !

This is what a Bavarian inn looks like. In the dirndl, the friendly 🙂 waitresses serve the food and what comes out of the kitchen ’is impressive. The cheese schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad is class 😋, a good alternative to traditional schnitzel. With the Berzl plate, the appetite must be big ... Here you are a guest .🍺

It's still true here. I've been there a lot and I've never been disappointed. Classic cuisine, very good, prices rather cheap, large portions, staff very quick and courteous, great boss. In the beer garden a wonderful view, super central. Overnight stays in rooms and apartments are possible. Nice that something like that still exists!

A must when you are in Kelheim. Absolutely warm service. Eat delicious which is also inexpensive. We hope to be with you again soon

The inn deserves its name every day. Friendly service, Bavarian cosiness, good food at very reasonable prices and a prime location right on the Danube. Breakfast and accommodation (we were guests in the house for four days) are good value for money. If you want more, you have to pay more in other houses. Conclusion: We would love to come back to Kelheim and will stop at "Berzl".

Gasthof Berzl a pleasure. During a birthday party in a separate room. It was very successful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food tasted very good and was plentiful. The ambience good middle-class. We will be back.

Great rustic inn, very friendly service and a delicious food. Very good selection of Bavarian delicacies. Prices very cheap for Kelheim. Beer is available from Weltenburg and Schneider. Exactly our taste. If you do not like it, you should stay at home.
